Help Not recognizing 32Gb Micro SD

Hi,

My Vivid recognized a prior 1Gb card but does not recognize a new Sandisk 32Gb card, when I go to Settings, Storage the info for the SD card is unavailable but can access it when connected to the PC; am I missing something?

First, let me preface my reply by saying that I don't have my Vivid yet. However, I do have and HTC Nexus One that has been running Android for more than a year. I only have my experience with that device upon which to base my reply. Therefore...

If I want to remove or add an SD card to my N1, I must first, Unmount the SD before removal, or Mount the SD card before use. (I'm not choosing these terms, HTC did, so don't raze me about mounting things.) I normally install the SD card with the power off and the device automatically mounts the card when powered up. If you choose to install the SD while the device is powered, I can only assume that you must use the mount function, found in settings/storage to mount the newly installed card. Once a new SD card has been mounted, you should see the card, storage space available, or space used.
