Help not rooted desire

Hello,

I know I must be the one and only person who hasn't, but, all my research conflicts or something new pops up to stop me in my tracks. Either tutorials are vague or incomplete, videos on YouTube are sketchy at best.

Any of you recommend the easiest way to root for a relative noob? I have done a Samsung s off internet instructions. Although I didn't care if I bricked it.

I think UnRevoked is my best option. Any thoughts? How easy is it? Can't really find a guide as simple as the one for the Samsung. Plus my desire is my daily phone so can't afford to screw it up.

Any help, tips you can suggest will be greatly received.

Not to be slopey shouldered or anything and not answer your question direct, but there is a guide in the sticky section under the "All Things Root" sub-forum which answers all of these. This is where the local experts have created and compiled numerous guides, faqs and rooting information for the Desire which is unanimously agreed upon.

It is worth spending a few hours reading everything and finding out the best option for you as well as understanding what you are doing, and comfortable in understanding it. After reading the guides and there's something you're not sure about, shout out !

It is a relatively simple process when you get your head round it, but it is encouraged not to follow a video or guide blindly as you could overlook a simple factor which in return causes a major headache, or in worse case scenario, a bricked phone.
