Not searching correctly since update

Recently my Samsung Galaxy S2, AT&T updated to ICS 4.0.4

Now when I search for contacts or applications, it only gives me web results. I used to be able to type "joe" and it woudl display all contacts and apps that began with Joe, then start showing me some web search results for Joe.

That type of search, universal search, was removed with the update. Something to do with Apple's patent suit I think.

For interim, I've downloaded some app called Aurora that functions mostly the same as Google search did - so finding apps and contacts is back - not as nice as google though.
