Help Not turning on! Need help FAST

ascend is a friends and not mine so it hasn't been rooted flashed or anything. when I plug it in to the charger and press and hold the power button all I see is the battery charging screen with the percentage it's charged. I can't do anything else with it.

even if I hold the powerbutton for a long time nothing happens. any fix to this?

Disconnect it and hit the power button, see what happens. It should turn on whether plugged in or not, but try it disconnected and let us know.

I unplugged it at 98% battery

holding on to the power button and nothing is happening...

Pull the battery for a minute, stick it back in, try again. Don't hold, just press.

I would suggest leaving the battery out for several minutes, then trying one more time. If that doesn't work, then I would suggest that your friend take it back to the store.
