Root Not up to date with android jargon; help me get to 4.3

I got my Nexus 4 way back in January and rooted it using some kind of PC program that did everything step by step for me. I'm pretty sure everything is stock rooted except for a custom kernel, which is paranoid android's color correction. I've had the 4.3 update notification sitting in my notification drawer for the past few weeks not wanting to flash it in case something went wrong. Well I tried it today and it failed. Big surprise. So what are the next steps I can take to get to 4.3? Is there a handy stock rooted zip I can flash? Will my color correction go away should I flash a zip? Will I keep root? Do I have to manually update radios? I did a whole mess of research last time and that program made it nice and simple, but I have since forgotten all the techno mumbo jumbo and would just as soon go back to stock if there isn't a nice simple way to do this. Knowing this community, some out out there has created an excellent, noob-friendly, step-by-step guide for all of this info, but I just need a nudge in the right direction. So I draw on the infinite wisdom of all you peeps to help a brotha out. Thanks!!!

I'm pretty sure that's why it failed, you can be rooted & have bootloader unlocked...but other than that...it has to be stock. You will lose root once you upgrade to 4.3, so you will have to re-root again.

Myself, I was rooted & unlocked & stock...failed the OTA install 3-4 times. I had to flash the 4.3 file to upgrade...than flash SuperSU to regain root.
