hi, I just bought a Note 2 for repairs - seller told me phone was dropped and screen was black/needed full replacement. Also told me phone booted up, vibrated, and had LED showing.
I receive it and nothing, battery dead, nothing when charging, connecting to USB etc. Tried different chargers, known good battery etc but it is giving no signs of life, except: I get 3.5v off the battery connectors when linked to my laptop and I see the dim red led on the proximity sensor when I depress the power button.
Not keen on fitting new Amoled unit just to find it's dead, so any advice before I contact seller/ open it up/ sell it for parts/bin it....
