Help Note 2 does not wake up after kitkat upgrade

Hi folks, I upgraded to kitkat OS and ever since my note 2 simply will not waken. The only way to get the fone back on is to remove the cover and battery, replace and switch on. It's like the fone freezes at some point when asleep and will not waken. Any ideas??

Reset the phone back to factory defaults.
In order to enter recovery mode, you will first have to turn off your device. Once it’s turned off, press volume up + power button + home button simultaneously and keep them pressed until you see the recovery mode

Yes,It will clear cache and data.
