Anyone having problems with the gps locator jumping all over the map? the last few days has it has been terrible, it never seems to work when I need it to. Sometimes its just fine tho. Im thinking about taking it back to the sprint store tomorrow. I hope I didn't get a faulty Note!

That is not good and from my experience with the Original Note, sounds like a bad phone.
I had a Note 1 and the GPS was so good, I swear I could have been on mars and it would have worked
I don't have my Note 2, but the fact that nobody else on any forums has complained about the GPS make me think it is just your unit and you should get it swapped asap.
Plus the fact that phone phone has a GPS with A-GPS connectivity and has GLONASS support; your GPS should be beyond stellar, even almost working in doors.
Good luck and let us know what happens. I must have a working GPS on my phone and I would hate to have to go back to the N1 to get it.

I too have noticed that. Had it happen on my GS2.
What I think I figured out is that it's linking to cell towers first then to the onboard GPS.
This happened to me the other day, driving along with Google maps on and as long as the screen was "on" everything tracked perfectly. When the screen timed out andI switched the unit on again "I moved miles away and then back" in like 3 seconds. Where I moved to were places that had cell towers.
I switched to CoPilot and that problem diss-appeared.
Try another map program before returning the GN2.

I just got back from the Sprint store they said since the phone is new they have no info on it, but samsung devices has are known for gps problems and its probably just a software glitch that will be patched soon. They reset the gps and it worked fine on my way home then started to freak out again.
Should i wait and see or go ahead and return it now? Anyone else having Gps problems with the note 2?
i switched from ZTE Warp to Note 2 and never once did i have gps problems with the warp.

Make them replace it. It is too new and too expensive for you to have to just deal with it and possibly end up down the line getting it replaced with a referb unit.
I stated having GPS issues with my Note 1, and after trying everything, I went in and had the unit replaced; issues were fixed perfectly.

This is really good news; thank you for the update. GPS is one off the top 3 reasons I am getting this phone and it is good to know it works
