Help Note 2 is constantly losing 4G connection

Is your battery door snapped all the way tight? There is some sort of antenna on the door. Also, do you have it in a case? (My father-in-law bought a case from Verizon a while back that actually blocked cellular signals)

Who is your carrier?
How long have you had the phone?
You said it's happening in places where you've always had service....has that service always been 4G?.......if so, has your area recently gotten 4G?

I always had my phone in the 4g lte mode and fought for signal at home with one bar. I couldn't send pics in sms without a wifi app. I decided to change my phone to 3g in settings and now carry a 3 bar signal. No problem now!
Of course it sucks not to use 4g, but at home, I'm on wifi any ways.
Is there a setting for it to change automatically from 3g to 4g? Or do you have to manually change it?
My carrier is US Cellular.

The same way you changed it to 3G--go back into that setting under mobile networks. If it doesn't specifically say 4G it'll have CDMA/LTE or something close to that.

It's very possible 4G is not completely deployed where you're at resulting in you loosing the connection until switching back to 3G. If you install the app Sensorly from play store you can see the progress of LTE in your area. Once LTE is fully launched in your area your phone should switch over to it just as long as you change the settings so you don't have to do it manually.

Now, if you know 4G is fully deployed then I can't explain why you'd loose connection.
