Help Note 2 Kies Air Update License mods

[johnmcgee3]

Hi all,

I just bought a Note II (Upgrade from iPOS 4, and tried to start the Kies Air Sync. The app said I must update and that I need to accept the new license changes. In r3eading the Messages section it says:

"Allows the app to read SMS messages stored on your phone and sim card. This allows the app to read all SMS messages, regardless of content or confidentiality."

and

"Allows the app to receive and process SMS messages. This means the app could monitor or delete messages sent to your device without showing them to you."

I like a good conspiracy as much as the nexct guy, but this seems truly 1984ish. It sounds like "someone" could monitor the SMS traffic and delete all SMS message from a flash mob or other social event.

What am I missing here?

Thanks...

John

Not sure but I think its just so you can read your call history and text messages from your PC wirelessly. Don't think its any more sinister than that but maybe someone knows different.
