I wish I had that problem....unfortunately, here in the US, we don't have multi-window. I think all of us here in the US wish we could give you some actual insightful feedback.

Hey

I was going to make this exact post.

I watched the promo video only to find that that the 'flip', option on my phone wasn't available. Same goes for the edit option

I got mine on Vodafone last week

I think its all the UK versions that are having this problem?
I did e-mail samsung UK
lets see if they say anything.
please do reply if and when you come up with a solution
many thanks

My friend just bought his Note 2. He has this option!

His purchased an unwanted Note 2. it in an unbranded phone from 'Three'.

So it is clearly available - just not to us! :(

I'd be very interested in any email Samsung reply back with. Completely in the same boat.

Cheers. Stu

Hi guys,
Had a response from Samsung.

In a nutshell its been advised we need to do a hard reset to remedy issue.

Who wants to go first? Haha ;)

Not sure I can be bothered especially if it doesn't work.

Cheers

Oh that sucks. I hope it is a bug not some kind of lame restriction. I wonder what the Sprint people are seeing. If it is any consolation, you really can't do much with the Edit button. I've used it once to put Chat ON in there.

what do mean swith the screens though, I have a UK sim free version and like I have posted elsewhere the edit on the side view does not do much at all.

I'm in the UK on o2 and edit button works as does resizing the multi screens, hope you sort it out.

Pete

I know understand the multi screens. You can have two at once and you can resize them. Not sure why it does not work with all apps though.

That's down to Samsung, but I believe that someone is developing an app that will allow you to do this with any app, but it only works on rooted phones

Is already available. I don't have the link on hand but you can find instructions over at XDA. Root is a MUST since it involves editing your build.prop.

IF YOU'RE NOT ROOTED DO NOT TRY THIS.
and even if you are rooted I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR PHONE!!!!!!!!

Damn looks like it's the rooting option. Although I've had no experience in doing so. Maybe someone could provide a link if it's not too much trouble?
Being an ex apple fan boy, I regularly jail broke my I phones in its as easy as that..
