Note 2 ON a Note 1?

I dropped and broke my phone yesterday so I decided to get a Note1. Today I found out Note2 is being released fairly soon but for $300 with new contract. Note1 is $150 at target as of today.
If I buy the Note1 today...will I be able to upgrade it somehow later so that it has the same features as Note2? The RAM is different but otherwise the specs are pretty much the same (or so I think...)
Anybody know how this kind of thing works? Will I be able to do whatever a Note2 can do by upgrading (or even rooting) a Note1?

I'm assuming you are either on t-mobile or att.

Specs are not as close, stock. Here are the specs that are better just for hardware
- 5.5 inch screen
- thinner (depth and width), more comfortable
- 1gb More RAM
- Non-pentile screen
- improved s-pen
- lte radios on t-mobile version (future proof... Cuz t-mobile's current 4g is really just enhanced 3g)

For software, of course I'm sure there will be crazy good developers that somehow come up with potential solutions that will allow for the note 1 to have some of the same functions, but unless the extra 150 is absolutely a huge problem, I don't see why it would be a smarter choice to stick with the Note 1 just because it's cheaper.

IMO, the note 2 is well worth the additional costs. If you watch the note 1 vs. Note 2 reviews, I haven't seen a single review that pics the note 1 on anything... With exceptiln to the glossy back cover, which some reviewers prefer.

It really does come down to your personal situation, but if I had purchased a Note 1 and found out the Note 2 releases 1 week later... I'd go back immediately and insist that they allow me to exchange to that when it releases.
