Note 2 randomly displaying checking sd card.

Over the past two days I have noticed my N2 will randomly display it is preparing/checking sd card for errors. The sd card has not been removed or anything. Anyone ever had that happen or have any insight on what could be the problem?

Could be an app, however I dont think apps have the ability to force the OS to scan the SD card...

I'd hope its a faulty SD card, as the alternative is more than likely a faulty phone. Bit of a price difference there...

If you haven't already, check the SD is seated properly. Try an alternative SD card. Try your SD card in an alternate phone/device.

As a last resort you could factory reset your phone and just leave it all default for a while, see if the issue persists. This should let you know if its hardware or software related, but it is a pain to do.

When experiencing tech problems, it's usually just a case of trial and error until you work out what the issue is.

Good Luck, let me know how you get on.

It seems to be a common problem with Sandisk 32gb SD cards. Google searched and so far from what I've read people are only having the problem with 32gb SD cards. Sad I have to send it back because now they are out of stock!

it happens to me here/there. not noticeable enough though either. I have a 64/class 10. Just waiting to use it plus I want a buyer for my 32

It doesn't really bother me, I'm just wondering if it re-reads the SD card enough times will that affect the battery life.

Well the SD card went out this morning. I didn't get the message for about a day so I assumed I was fine. Woke up this morning and it said "blank SD" exchanging it through amazon.
