Note 2 Size Comments?

Having owned every generation of the Galaxy s family, the screens seem to improve. The s2 was amassing with the amoled+ using rgb strips. Was a little let down to find that the hd super amoled in the s3 used pentile, but it was still a nice screen. The screen on the note 2 does not use pentile, but a different grb sub pixel layout that really makes this screen look better than any other displays imo.

As for the size, I got used to it instantly. I have found using certain types of cases can make it too bulky in the pocket but I rarely ever used cases to begin with.

Will this phone last me 2 years? NO. Sure, it has amazing specs and will last most people beyond the 2 year contract they are obligated to. I bought this off contract though as I didn't want the obligation. I am a tech geek. I have to have the best. Please note that the most powerful isn't always the best, as if that were true I would want the Optimus g. But the features Samsung packed in this are amazing. This will last me, until the Galaxy s4 or the note 3. I will get my yearly update.

Got'cha but the people I'm talking about aren't those who bought the S3 before the Note 2 debuted. Being the successor to the S2, there was already a build up to getting the S3 cause the S2 was/is a phenomenal phone.

I was about to make that same plunge until rumors of the Note 2 surfaced. I decided to wait it out to see if my carrier would get it this time around. I didn't doubt they would but you can never be certain until it's official.

Once it became officially leaked :D the S3 dropped from my radar.
I too was set on getting the Galaxy S III when I heard about the Galaxy Note II. The screen size of the latter wasn't an issue to me -- I got to play with my father's original Galaxy Note -- but what really sold me was the fact the Galaxy Note II's screen doesn't have pentile. So now I'm still waiting, because I am determined to get at least the 32gb variant. :(

Yesterday the guys at Sprint were shocked when I opened the box. They couldn't believe that I ordered this phone and was so excited for it's arrival.

There is definitely an "elephant in the room" when you pull this thing out haha. Customers who were walking in were asking me if it was the new Ipad Mini....I almost shyt myself.

NO WAY this is the new Note 2!!! "A what?"...the confusion sets in deeper. I had to explain to each person it was actually a phone and not a mini-ipad or mini-kindle fire hd.

But anyway congrats to everyone who already has one and good luck to all that are waiting.

LoL!! Great story. Made me laugh!

I just got my Note II last Friday and I am already used to the size. Now everything else looks tiny. The only problem I have with the size is that I would accidentally brush up against the side of the screen sometime and launch an app. I am getting a bumper case for it, so maybe that would help.

Biggest issue i've had with my Galaxy nexus, minus the bad LTE radios, is that I hit the home button too easily when typing. With the physical home button I expect this to remedy.

Still kinda annoyed that Samsung doesn't have the digital on screen buttons...but oh well. I feel like the phone manufacturers really need to get on board with the google changes lol
