Having owned every generation of the Galaxy s family, the screens seem to improve. The s2 was amassing with the amoled+ using rgb strips. Was a little let down to find that the hd super amoled in the s3 used pentile, but it was still a nice screen. The screen on the note 2 does not use pentile, but a different grb sub pixel layout that really makes this screen look better than any other displays imo.
As for the size, I got used to it instantly. I have found using certain types of cases can make it too bulky in the pocket but I rarely ever used cases to begin with.
Will this phone last me 2 years? NO. Sure, it has amazing specs and will last most people beyond the 2 year contract they are obligated to. I bought this off contract though as I didn't want the obligation. I am a tech geek. I have to have the best. Please note that the most powerful isn't always the best, as if that were true I would want the Optimus g. But the features Samsung packed in this are amazing. This will last me, until the Galaxy s4 or the note 3. I will get my yearly update.
