Note 2 slower than it used to be

I've been using my Note 2 for about a year. While I wouldn't call it slow it certainly stutters and isn't as smooth as it was when I first got it. Other than doing a full wipe is there anything I can do to try and get back to the buttery smooth experience I had when I first got it?

Thanks.

FWIW, I lent my Nexus 7 to my brother-in-law, who wanted to use the gps with plat maps. I uninstalled several apps when he was done, gave it to my wife, but it was still slower than mine. Clean master found 1.9 gb of data from uninstalled apps and after cleaning and running lagfix, it was noticably faster. (Since it was stock 4.3, it would have eventually have TRIMmed the freed space when idle.)

1-download clean master and try to clean memory boost & junk files

2- restart it and check maybe it will be good

Use Clean Master strictly to clear cache files and remaining junk files in storage. I wouldn't suggest using the memory boost as that is a task killer. Let Android OS handle that with its own task manager.

Or you could clear the entire cache using the Android Recovery Console.

Thanks for all the advice. Unfortunately none of these things seem to have a big impact. I might do a clean wipe and start fresh at some point to get things back as they first were.

What is you current OS. Mine got updated from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 and was slower and lost connectivity frequently. I went back to the earlier version (4.1.1) and now it works better again.
