Help Note 2 Storage space?

Even I have the same issue but what I did was I unmounted the sd card out from the phone and then again mounted it back then restarted my phone and it worked for me now my space is available and I can again download new songs and applications from android market I hope it works out for you also cheers... :)

I'm running out of ideas...

If sahilthakur's suggestion didn't work, maybe try the following (based on the recent experiences stated by Nelviticus and sahilthakur):

1) umount your microSD card
2) completely shut down the Note 2
3) remove the microSD card from the Note 2
4) do the steps needed to power on to the Android Recovery Console
5) clear the cache partition
6) reboot

Do not put the microSD card back into the Note 2. See if there are any issues with it without the microSD card.

Other idea would be to boot into safe mode and see if an app is causing the issue.
To go to safe mode:
1) completely shut down the Note 2
2) press and hold the volume up and down and power buttons
3) when the Note 2 logo shows release the power button, but keep pressing the down on the volume up and down buttons
4) release the volume up and down buttons after the boot cycle has completed and you see 'safe mode' appear on the bottom left corner of the screen

Do this without the microSD card to narrow down the issue.

If the problem is still persistent (with and without the microSD card), then I am inclined to say that there may be some defect with the phone. Could be drivers, memory sensor giving false readings, etc. Hard to say.

I really can't think of anything else to try at the moment.

Had low storage warning this morning. Turned out my magazine app downloaded 3 magazines, I subscribe to 9 titles and only have enough room for one copy for each title, after unloading the previous volume, the warning disappeared.

Did you check your internal storage when this happened? Did it display the storage actually being used?

iMehila's Note 2 is reporting low storage space despite the fact that it only shows around 1GB being used with the rest being empty space. Even the chart is displaying a long dark grey line indicating empty space. Yet it is reporting only around 300MB left.

Yes mine actually had storage issues with play magazine having the hugged usage. I just took a screenshot after I remove 3 previous magazine issues, and it still shows being the second highest storage space.

I'd bet iMehila's issue is a degrading flash memory. I'd bring it back to get it services or replaced.

This is just a thought, since iMehila is fairly new to this, but worth asking.

iMehila, are you loading all of your apps from the Play Store or do you have some apk's saved somewhere that you are installing on your own? If you are sideloading an app that is either bad or malicious that could be the problem.

Probably not the issue, but worth asking.
