cyprusx

Newbie
Hey guys I'm doing research about the Galaxy Note 2 and iPhone 5 and have compiled a list of each devices advantages. Please I don't want no fan-boyish or trolling comments. Just want to do some peaceful research for a project im doing about the pros of both devices. If I have made some errors or forgotten something plz let me know. There must be something I have left out for the Iphone 5 ? Thanks

Hi there - I love my GN2 but I must say that the Iphone wins in one area - texting video! My fiance has the I5 and I used to have an I4s and I am shocked at the poor video quality for TEXTING with GN2. I don't know the specs on why this is but the Iphone wins that one. Not sure if it's a Android thing??

So to sum it up I would add under the pro-Iphone section - Better quality video texts.

What is a video text?

iPhone txt/video etc to other iPhones don't use MMS so they are not limited to 300k.

Iphone faster download? Not sure.
Louder? Not sure.

I can only compare iPhone 4 to Note 2, but I don't think iPhone 5 improved much over iPhone 4 and that's why I got the Note 2.

iPhone's phone sound quality over bluetooth is a little better.

Audio bluetooth is about the same for both.

AT&T Note 2 does not come with headphones; my brother said his earpods are way better than the old iPhone headphones.

Screen size. When I look at the iPhone 4, it looks really unusable now. Last night I was trying to type someone on it, and I keep missing the letters. I am just so used to the big keyboard and swype.

iOS is more out of the box ready to use than Jelly Bean. Jelly Bean is good, but still need to customize it a bit for about any user. Some of the stuff on Jelly Bean is really really hard to locate. The menu system is all over. If you want to turn on/off something, you really don't know where to go without look it up. iOS is more centralize.

I don't think I would go back to iPhone unless Apple made a 5"+ screen iPhone and let us manage the files on the phone without the stupid iTune!

Just a quick update on the Apple earpods. I tried them this weekend and they are much better than the old Apple earphones. The only thing is that the volume control does not work with Note II. The pause button works though. And press it twice also does skip.

what is video texting????????

Except the I phone 5. Now everything with a dock needs replacement or an adapter.

MMS or when you send a video through text message.
I know some people just like doing things the way they're used to, but why bother sending a low res, janky looking video through MMS when you can upload straight to YouTube in HD and share the link? It's easy enough to load them as unlisted so that only people with the link can see them.

Well not everyone has smart phones though. MMS can be viewed on most feature phones. And speaking of MMS, whenever someone from iPhone sent me a picture MMS, I get it as a slideshow. It would be slide 1 is the message and slide 2 is the picture. I cannot get it to display inline on Message app. But if another android phone sent me MMS, I get the picture inlined.
