Help Note 3 camera issue

I have a camera issue with my note3, it black screens when I try to load camera. I attempt to press on anything on the screen (gallery / settings etc)
it doesn't open anything at all... When I put the phone sideways, it will landscape the camera but will not function... I attempted everything down to a factory reset... Any other ideas? Or is this thing going to have to be taken in and replaced?:mad::(:confused:

Have you attempted to root your phone or have any custom ROM installed? How long have you had the phone?

Nope, 100% stock and like 2-3 months. I called my buddy who works at AT&T (he is also the plan holder, I'm on his plan) and he said they keep getting more and more note 3 / S5 camera issues, they're next day shipping me a new one. I guess MY issue is resolved because its being replaced, but it would be nice for some info to be out on the internets about it. I spent a few days looking and honestly couldn't find anything. Must be a new issue... or a selected amount of shipped ones. Maybe a bad batch?

Or maybe a camera application that you installed that might not have had the best programming and was taking over the camera and not letting you use the default, or some other software that was installed.

I suggest that since you seem to have been using the phone camera without problems for 3 months without problem until now so maybe it was a recent application or you updated your phone software. Maybe related to a known issue with the KitKat camera which was causing massive battery drain.

Must be kitkat then because at stated above I tried a reset and still had issues
 
Usually you'll find info related to widespread problems via Google if a lot of people are experiencing it and tech sites post on and on about it.

To the best of my knowledge I haven't come across many Note 3 camera issues unless it had something to do with a 3rd party app.
