Help Note 3 Car Auxiliary

Trying to connect Note 3 headphone jack to the aux jack of my car. No sound comes out through the car speakers but it says aux jack connected on the car stereo. Any ideas. Thanks!

Check the volume. When headphones are connected, it's a separate volume from the speaker. Same with BT.
