wonder how "soon" is soon.

That said.. someone else mentioned that when they registered their phone, they got an email giving them 30% or 50% off some accessory. I registered a hour or so ago, never got such an email. Are others getting it? FWIW I'm on verizon.

And check your spam folder. Mine took a bit over an hour.

whats the subject line of the email? what email is listed as the sender? is it just a code to use?

UPDATE: yeah. there it is.. in the spam folder. Now what to use it on. The official accessory's on SS site is a little weak right now. doesn't even reflect extra battries. I would really like to use it on some type of dock though.

I really don't need a dev edition. I have NO intention of leaving all these phenomenal benefits for a vanilla Android custom ROM. Been doing ROMs since December 2009. I really like my phone's set-up with Apex Pro launcher, and S-pen functions.

Not screwed, Han. Happy Chief here :)

I wonder when it's coming out. If it's within the next 14 days. . .

On the other hand, all I really wanted root for was to wifi tether. And now that it's possible with FoxFi without rooting, (works great), I don't know if I'll bother.

Does FoxFi work on the Note 3?

Here Here! I wanted ROOT to allow for full app+data backups and to remove vzw bloatware (stop it from either running or delete it). I didnt want other roms.

Gotta say. I'm only about 8 hours into this N3 and i'm WOW'd every view minutes. This is an incredible machine. Giant Learning curve, and I already thought I new android. New to TouchWiz though. I had the movie Brave on an external SD card. I tried playing it. Brilliant. I hit some button in the stock video player and it was shrunken in to a small window that could be moved around.. continued to play.. and you could do other things. Wow!

Yes. When it gives you the Verizon sign up pop up, just hit the home button and it will work!

On second thought, it doesn't really appeal to me either. I just wanted access to wifi tether, which I now have.

I haven't tried Apex Pro. What do you like about it? How does it differ from
Nova? Do you get to keep S Widgets?

I have about 60 user apps which my guess is that is average. With the play store updates of many rom apps I discovered that my 3GB ram is now down to 500 MB! Without root ya just can't do any decent house cleaning that all computers benefit from.

I was just coming here to post that.

I just got mine 3 days ago. But it is AT&T so, this probably don't apply to me. Still would be nice to have root access, though not 100% needed I guess.

Not sure about Nova, probably a lot of the same features. I love Apex Pro because of the ability to put additional rows and columns of icons on the home screen, and then shrink the icon size to make the screen look less cluttered.

I use 5 columns, 5 rows, and 90% icon size. Looks great. Screenshot forthcoming. And yes, the S-pen functions still work.
