Note 3 Freezing

A friends Note 3 keeps freezing with the message "process system isn't responding"He has done a couple of hard resets and it's still happeningAny help would be appriciated
 
If he hasn't rooted it or flashed any ROM, I'd bring it back. "Freeze" isn't a word I'd associate with a Note3. Fly, maybe. Zoom. But not freeze.
