I have this odd issue occurring on my Note 3 (Verizon) since my update last week where it will, after completely locking the phone, allow my volume to be adjusted. This has contributed multiple times to me finding my phone in silent mode when I take it out of my pocket where it was in vibrate mode when I put it in (I leave my phone in vibrate mode 95% of the time).
Through tinkering, I've found that it only lets you adjust the volume *once*, then it won't register future button presses. So, if my phone is on vibrate, it will let me go up to ringer on, or down to silent mode. If I then click the opposite button to try to return to vibrate, it won't.
I think I read that it's a known issue that you can change your volume in the lock screen, but what about while the phone's LOCKED? I know this is going to bite me in the ass eventually, when my phone blares my ringtone in a meeting when before I never had to worry about it.
