Note 3 on MetroPCS?

The Note 2 is an incredible device, i'm expecting the Note 3 to be at least at the same level for the next 2 years... i was waiting for the Nexus 5 (looked at LG G2 and Xperia Z1 also), but my 2 years old LG Connect 4G is giving me harder and harder time every day (yestereday, i couldn't answer my phone for like 10mn and typing txt was not showing on my screen. i had to restart it twice!!!). It's definitively time to change to a more efficient one!

If I find a note 3 for the right price I'll buy it, otherwise, that's way too much for a phone, it's not like I drive a maserati or something to own a $700 phone

Im assuming the note 3 will be future proof for me until atleast the note 5 comes out..my gs3's power button took a crap on me so now it glitchs out and restarts itself if its touched..so im back on the fe3 until i get the note 3 then im doing warranty exchange with samsung

Try out the note 2, it might surprise you

yes. the tmo version will work absolutely fine here at metropcs! I live in central cali and the network out here is GSM. It does run on LTE out here in Fresno. So, yes. you could def use the tmo version with metropcs. all you do is buy the sim card. Here the activation is free, im unsure how others work in different cities. Good luck =D its a cool phone.

I hear you, its not for everyone. It is absolutely a pricey device. I am not wealthy by any means but I am not bad off either. I am lucky to currently be able to fulfill my needs as well as some of my wants. I am going to enjoy it because I am sure the day will come when I have to focus more on the needs and less on things that I just like or want.

That and the S pen is great for drawing.

Same here, personally, I just cant see forking over $700 on something I know that will depreciate so quickly in value, regardless if I keep it in immaculate condition or not. I was reading an active version may come out shortly too, if so, and it's not a detuned version of the regular one, that would be where I would place my money.

Couldn't agree more. High end phones like the Note 3 look amazing, but that's a lot of cash.

I'll wait for a price reduction before considering it.

Samsung.needs.to stop milking.the s4 and note lineup and just incorporate all the features of all the phones into both there devices..

This is true. I cant argue with that. Its also nice that there are a lot of other great devices out there to choose from.

Note 3 features to S4? Note 3 is released more than a half year after. But they can keep the features of the active line that just makes the phone much bulkier and to keep the same specs would be more expensive

I was typing from the horrible f3 keypad..

I mean't as in keep the note 3 and s4 there sole 2 devices.. all there doing is splitting the sales between all of these "other" versions.. this mainly is toward the s4...mini, active etc..

I'm sure we all can agree, if the note 3 is not a detuned version like how they did with the S4 and 8MP camera, then it makes sense, otherwise, I can wait 3-4 months and get it hella cheaper.

If I waited 3 to 4 months I wouldn't buy it. At least not until I see what the Galaxy S5 brings to the table. You know rumors will be in full effect by then.

true, by then the galaxy will probably have a 5.2 like the g2, and a snapdragon 800 to back it up, just a lucky guess

Yea thats what sucks if.you wait.long enough there will be rumors of the new galaxy s5 with curved display etc..samsung is already saying they want to release the next galaxy sooner because of slowing sales...

truth, I really would rather wait for an active edition.

Anyone know if the note has gorilla glass? I been looking all over and no luck...i would be surprised if such a device doesnt have it..

I finally got my Note 3... it took only 10mn to connect it to MetroPCS network, but i had to give up my $55 all unlimited plan for a similar $55 with 2.5Gb 4G data cap (add $10 to get the all unlimited, not worth it in my opinion).

This thing is... AMAZING!

Regarding all the discussions about that price, i agree with all of you who think it's expensive...it is! If you can get a Note 2 for a lot cheaper, just go for it: it delivers plenty of horsepower, very reactive, battery life is maybe better than Note 3, screen is also awesome (if you don't put both devices next to each other, you won't see the difference), all features, etc... everything is really good with a Note 2, there is no real need to upgrade. Get a Note 3 only if you can afford it.

Last thing, the camera of the Note 2 has a wider angle than the Note 3... a bit disappointing for a newer device!

I got a note 3 for $300 that I flashed over to metro pcs and besides my voicemail everything is working great. Granted I only get 3G speeds but for $300 I couldn't pass on the price of this phone.

How did you get one at that price... this is an incredible price! i can buy a couple more at that price... but I didn't had to flash mine, it worked right away.

I'm trying to kill the battery every day so it doesn't get memory thresholds but it's tough! I run videos/games 2-3h every night and i couldn't yesterday. Charging time is also amazing, it goes full charge in 2-3h

what do you mean by memory thresholds?

If you don't fully charge/discharge the battery during the first uses, you create kind of a memory effect modifying the thresholds to where the battery is considered fully charged/discharged thus reducing the efficiency of the battery.
So, it's important to always do some cycles of full charge/discharge the first times to avoid that effect.

The hulk, yes it was a sprint one is there something I don't no lol? Arimol, some guy wanted to sell it so quickly to pay rent but I honestly don't know if he reported lost and just got another one...either way I couldn't pass on it.
