Note 3 on MetroPCS?

If you flash to a new Carrier then no, carrier updates from Verizon will no longer appear to you.

Especially considering carriers control when updates go out to your devices. :)

However, if you are flashing to a carrier that runs on another carrier, like Straight Talk runs on Verizon, then Verizon will still control your OTA updates.

Have the latest updates been any good? The only problem I have noticed was with the sound. I could go to straight talk for a month to get updates if I really needed them I suppose.

Not being annoying we're here to help :)

Sometimes the metro workers are kinda misinformed.
Her note won't have access to the 1x network at all. Only GSM/HSPA & LTE if you choose to do the rooting method.
This is how you would be able to turn on Band 4 after rooting and get LTE if your area has it. http://androidforums.com/verizon-ga...ot/796420-how-enable-band-4-aws-sm-n900v.html

The difference between LTE and H+ on Tmobile is that in most areas currently LTE is about 10-20mbps faster

I rooted the note 3 and enabled band 4. It worked on and off for a few days and now the 4G lte does not work at all. It was working on the global setting. When I switch to the GSM setting I get the hspa network. Can anyone tell me why the 4G is not working? My band 4 says idle enabled when I select the global setting.

thanks in advance

I bought a Tmobile Note 3 from Cricket wireless. It works with no unlock. Just pop in the sim and activate. No need for unlock. I got it for $665 new

My does not seem to pick up 4g signal well. It comes and goes. The metro phones have better 4g connection. Does anyone know why that is?

Thanks
