Help Note 3 screen is darker on top half

Hi all! I have had my note 3 since launch (verizon). I noticed that the top half of my screen (about 2 inches) is slightly darker than the bottom half. I didnt notice it at first but now that i see it its bothering me like crazy. It is more noticeable at lower brightness. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or if im just being picky. I also have to criticize samsung for the quality of the screen. It does look great but when watching videos or going through pictures on dark or greyish colors, there is a visible purple smear. I pretty sure its common as i heard it was a big deal on the s4. Im just worried if i try and go to verizon to replace it the next phone will be just as bad or worse. Any input would be great. I've been reading the N3 forum here for two weeks, and this is the first time I've heard of this issue, not so common perhaps.

Take it back. If it's so noticeable, you should be able to find a suitable replacement in the store.

Definitely take it back. Your screen should be evenly lit.
