My Note 9 was charging right last but know for some reason it doesn't want to charge up.

Check that your charger is still working? Try another charger with your phone.
maybe try a another cable.....or maybe a different outlet as well.

That's odd.
Can't say that I remember a charger dying.
Plenty of cords, though.
I could open a graveyard for all of my dead cords.
Note 9 is notoriously finicky about the cords it likes for charging... and it is prone to changing its mind. My Darling Bride's Note 9 has decided it likes cable charging but not wireless charging. And that's a new development...
Same for mine for some reason.
How do you stop Smart News on the Note 9, it's constantly sending me news about the dumbest stuff ?
You should be able to uninstall it and, if not, disable it. Go to Settings - Apps - (three dots, upper right - Show system apps) - scroll down and see if you can find Smart News and kill that thing.
