Note2 changes sms to mms after 3 messages?

what do you mean after 3 messages?
you type a message, send it, then type second message, send it, then type third message, send it, then when typing fourth it says its MMS? That's strange, if this is the case... then im sorry i cant help as i never even heard of this.
I remember on my galaxy nexus when you type like suuuuuper long messages (total of 3 full messages all in one window) it does turn into MMS (on the 4th equivalent message)... my note 2 isnt doing it (just tested it, it goes far beyond the length of 5 full messages.. i stopped testing it then lol).
there is an option on the GoSms to split large messages automatically...

coming from the fruit phone I understand the original posters frustration. We never had this problem on an iPhone. All I can suggest is keep your eye on the slash 3 on the right hand side of your message window and send before you get to slash 4. There's no way to change this in the stock app. MMS cost me 50 cents each time I send 1 on bell and I learned this the hard way with my last bill.

Yes your second scenario I am referring to. How do I stop the standard messaging app from doing this? I want sms to stay as sms even after 4 or 5 in one if that makes sense
And if you mix text with picture, it will turn the MMS into a slide show!I don't want a freaking slide show.. just make it a very long chat bubble thank you very much!
Knowing our luck apple has a patent on that and thats why our texting is so different.

mine didnt turn into MMS after 5 messages... hmm...
i can see how this can be annoying tho. i HATE paying for MMS messages with a passion! and even more i hate people who just dont get whatsapp lol

Switch to Go SMS Pro (free app) works better than the standard text message and you can group chat with iphone users without issue.
I just downloaded Go SMS Pro and it is pretty cool. I can even pick the iPhone theme and the chats look like my old phone's! The only problem is that I cannot see the number of new messages on the GoSMS icon. It doesn't have the count on the icon. I did a search on google and it seems like there used to be a setting you could set to enable it but I can't seem to find it anymore.
The other thing is that the build in SMS app has the pop up note on the lock screen. Go SMS does not have that.

I send 1000 word texts at times. So what? Text is faster than wating for someone to get an email especially when you don't know at what frequency they receive their emails or if they even bother to check them at all. I know people that only check email once a day.

I have mentioned this app before, will do what you require Liam, after all the phone comes with apps and if their not suited to you then try one that is, you got nothing to lose
