Help Note3 Home Button No Go

We just bought a couple of Note 3's, and on one of them the Home Button does nothing, just doesn't work. Is there something in the settings that turns this button on and off? I've been searching for over an hour now and can't find anything.

Or do I just have to send the damned thing back to be fixed?

The home button is not negotiable, it either works or it doesn't, there must be an issue with it, return it for a new one.

The one problem with physical buttons as opposed to capacitive.

Yes I concur, you have a faulty Note 3.
