Notes & Navigation shortcuts

just got my m8 and am trying to add the blue navigation arrow icon as a shortcut and also the notes icon . cant seem to find them ?

any ideas anyone
 
I'm not seeing notes on the M8.Only task or scribble.I have desktop visualizer which allows you to assign any icon to your desktop to complete an action you want but the navigation icon isn't showing with it either?Although I haven't used or even opened navigation yet.
 
I may be corrected but I don't think you are going to find the blue arrow nav shortcut. I believe it was eliminated a rev back or so. If you access maps, you can then call nav from there.
 
The "Car" App gives easy access to Navigation as well as the other most used apps while in the car, ( Phone,music,etc..)

Yes they did that when they fully integrated navigation into the maps app. They then removed the nav option. On older devices you can go into settings >apps >uninstall updates to restore the nav app, unfortunately this also removes any feature updates.

Hi,

On the M7 you can use the 'Directions' shortcut which puts a car icon on your home screen. This takes you straight into navigation just as the blue arrow did. You can have more than one car icon, if you wish, with different destinations. (I'm assuming the Directions shortcut is still available on the M8).

In addition to the car icon you can select public transport, cycling or walking icons.
