Help NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!! Returning TODAY!

pedtech

Newbie
Well i have been battling a 4g connection problem since the day i got it. 8-9 hours of troublshooting with techs online, forums, etc.

I cant take it anymore. I dont care if its the provisioning, the phone, the 4g lte network not handshaking my phone.....ARRRGGGGGHHHHH!

Way too much time wasted! I am returning this DARN phone and getting the iphone 4. At least i know that phone has the bugs mostly worked out.

I am not VERIZON's 4g LTE TEST subject!

4g LTE SPEED was AMAZING, but problems with THUNDERBOLT made me VERY Disappointed!

Thank you.....I'll wait for a few more LTE phones to come out before i go back!

Issues are to be expected, this is the first 4g phone on Verizon's network. I'm not experiencing any major issues with 4g myself. Bummer it isn't working for you.

Sorry to hear your having issues, But its early adopter syndrome. Any new device, 4G or not is going to have issues in the begining. I have bought 4 Android phones on day one and there are always issues. Even my old blackberry had issues in the beginning. That being said Expect it to even be worse in this case being the first 4G LTE phone on a brand spankin new 4G LTE network. There are only a handful of LTE handsets commercially available around the world. There will be issues.

Even every Iphone had issues when it was first released.

Id rather be you and have issues that a device swap might fix, than be me with a new tb and no 4g at all.

preach on fellow taco owner!

why not return and get another Thunderbolt instead of just going completely extreme? That phone just may be bunk, which does happen.

I'd dump it too if I was having the same issues with my phone. If you want to go with an iPhone I'd never take a step back to 3G, wait for the iPhone 4G.

They are having major issues activating new Thunderbolts, Even after you return it....my lady was in there for 2 hours today and yesterday trying to swap her's out for a new one. They just couldn't get it together and activate it on the network, they tried 2 different phones with 2 different sim cards...no dice! She finally just said the hell with this, reactivate my incredible please...

Damn. I remember hearing something about some Thunderbolts having some hardware number placed incorrectly, causing activation issues...no idea though. So weird how they were having problems Day 1 and still, a week later.....

No problems to report here.
I guess I got a good one :D

I think we will also find that the mast majority of people also got a good one.......

Being an owner of the Rotary Engine, I know all about this kind of thing. There are ALWAYS more reports of people having bad items because people who are happy and working fine don't sign into a web forum to praise how awesome things are working.

some areas are having issues. I get great service everywhere but around my house I get issues sometimes. It seems to have gotten better but I still get drops sometimes, I called to check up on my ticket the lady said the note on the ticket said that there is a problem with the switch in my area, i dont know how wide that is, and said it should be fixed by the weekend if my problem persists then call back monday.

There is not really anything wrong with the phones to be honest, I have seen people getting them replaced and have issue again as long as they are in the same area.

On topic: Why is OP coming here and complaining to us, and saying he's gonna go get an iPhone4? Dude, go use that energy towards verizon, we didn't R&D, Manufacture, Sell this phone. :/

Off topic: I too was an owner of the potato..er, rotary engine. 88 Turbo II. Bought it off of some old lady who barely drove it. Talking like 15k miles in 2002. After 3 years of people offering to buy it from me, I finally re-sold it, mainly cause after getting the turbo serviced and having the apex seals done..I just couldin't justify having that expense lingering in the future..

however that was the worst move, ever. Nothing drives like a rotary. Sooth as hell. Kind of tough to drive at first, the gas pedal is touchy as hell. But, shit man people kept bugging me, I told the guy, okay...10 grand, cash. I don't wanna sell it, but if you can put 10 grand in my hand..it's yours.. So, I was 10 grand richer. He really wanted it.

IPhone 4? Don't do it man...the Fruit is Garbage! Its vzw's fault, not the phone. However Its expected...they're going from a CDMA network, to the most powerful 4G network in the states practically overnight...some hiccups are to be expected.

I sold my droid x on CL. I bought the iPhone 4 in anticipation of getting the TB and giving my son the iPhone 4 so he could be on our plan w/vzw. I got sick of blur, the lag, the constant need to reboot the phone (not interested in rooting). I decided on not getting the TB and keeping the iPhone. The iPhone is a very good device on verizon. It may not be 4G and the screen is smaller than the TB, but it's a very good choice.
