Unable to switch my notification to silent, even though I have that option checked. It appears to be using the default ringtone, which sucks.

When do the notifications sound? Email? Messages?
Open the app that is triggering the notification and press menu.settings
You should be able to change it here
The main system setting is (from home screen)
Menu.settings.sound
Android can be wonky with system overall settings and then separate settings in each app

I opened the settings tab in messages......then placed the notification to silent. it worked, thanks Mr. Ed!!!!!
