Notification Bar

On my HTC Inspire I have noticed that when I send a message or click in like in the internet explorer my carrier 'at&t' pops up in the left hand corner then dis appears in 5 seconds. This is my second phone from HTC and I was just wondering if it is supposed to flash up? Does anyone else's carrier flash up? Or is there something wrong with my phone? Please comment! Thanks for your answer.

I get the at&t pop up thing every now and then depending on what I am doing but I stopped paying attention to it.

I know it happens everytime I wake my phone and unlock the screen.

Yeah it seem's like a "feature" on the stock rom. Haven't noticed it on any of the 2.3 sense based roms.

I am talking about the AT&T logo doesn't pop up/flash and disappear in the top left of the notification bar on the 2.3 sense roms...
