Notification for sms

Any apps for notifying me differently than just the vibration of my phone? Previous blackberry user and used to the led light, kinda annoying on this one... any suggestions?

Look at "No LED" in the market. There are more,i just don't remember them.

Just be aware that since the Optimus V doesn't actually have LEDs, the "No LED" app has to turn on your screen.

If you aren't afraid of opening your phone to it's internals, there is a hardware mod and software mod that will give you a led notification for all missed messages, sms, email, phone, etc.

You may be ok with just the software mod to flash the keylights. The hardware mod is a bit intimidating, but not too hard for someone who tinkers with stuff.

I would wait at least a year of the date of activation,before doing any kind of a hardware mod to this phone,if something goes bad on this phone you are out 150,i cannot believe anyone would do something like that unless they do not mind wasting 150 dollars.

I use SMS Popup and that works fine.
