Help Notification Glitch

anyone else getting the notification glitch where sometimes even if you already read the text that you just received the little message icon is still in your notification bar until you drag it down and clear it?

That always happens to me. They won't go away until I open the message and tap on the reply box and then close.

It happens to my Gmail icon sometimes. I have already read the email but I have to open the bar again to clear it.

yeah, pretty annoying.. i think it's only when you have that application open such as your messages, or your mail, and then you receive a text/email while you are in the program. either way if i read the damn thing, it should recognize it and clear that notification
