Help Notification Icon

Hello I've recently started seeing a weird notification icon in my upper left corner of the screen. It's almost transparent, a circle withe 2 black dots in the middle. I'm afraid it's some sort of a tracker or virus. I've attached a screen shot.
It is a Galaxy Note 2 running 4.4.2 kit Kat.

Any help would be great

Have you tried pulling-down on the notification shade and seeing what the related app is?

For what it's worth, most malware authors are not stupid enough to put up a notification to warn you that you are being bugged.

I've tried pulling down from the top and nothing is there

Are you sure it's not one of Samsung's "smart"features?
