Help Notification LED

Other than charging (in amber and green), I never seen the LED blink when I got text message or emails. Is there a settings that I miss?

You can select when you want it to work under Settings> Display > Notification Flash. I have noticed that it works in all functions but it flashes very dim and fast. This makes it very hard to notice.
