Notification Light COLOUR

Good evening,

Could anyone possibly help me with trying to revert back to settings I had with a previous phone? My desired result is not complex:

I would just like to have a few options of the phone's functions eg. missed calls (red), SMS (green) display different colours when they occur.

At the minute all notification lights are a sort of white colour, with the exception of whatsapp which allows customisation of its notification light colour within the app itself.

I tried an app on the market and it really didn't perform satisfactorily - if anything it ended up blinking my chosen colour intermittently between the stock default white colour!


Any help would be much appreciated. I'm sure this can't be a difficult ask and I'm just ignorant!

First, is Stamina Mode enabled? This disabled the notification LED on some firmware versions.

Secondly, there is a strange and obscure 'bug' with the Z which, if you don't follow all eight initial set-up steps or you restore settings during setup, prevents the notification light from displaying correctly. The only cure that I know of for that is to factory reset and start again.

1). Go to Settings/Backup & restore - untick "Backup my data" and "Auto restore"
2). Reset the phone
3). Once the phone is switched on follow the wizard installation but do not back up your data. Reinstall everything manually.
