I clicked the update button for an app a second ago and I swear the light blinked red. I know this might not sound believable so I'm going to try to recreate it on video.

Well if it is multi color I can't make it glitch again. I don't think I was seeing things, it is one thing to see a shadow but a red light... Could it be like the nexus one track ball?
welp its an LED and LEDs can show different colors... its a possibility...
you mean the light top right correct?
and when you say "update" were you in the market and you tapped on the update icon on the apps page?
what app was it?
how long did it blink? did you see it out of the corner of your eye or were you looking at the screen/facing the screen and you saw it flicker out the corner of you eye?

Top right, the notification light. My apps>update audio manager
The white color normally pulses but the red blinked once. I was looking right at my xoom
