Help Notification light on Optimus?

I was wandering if there is some kind of notification led on this phone for when you miss a call of e-mail, I had it on my HTC hero, but I can't find it on this phone, does not even show when is charging. I sometimes work in a noisy area and used to rely on the notification led to know I have a new mail or miss call with out having to unlock the phone. Any suggestions...

No notification light, sorry. I use Handcent SMS so at least when I get a text my screen lights up. Better than nothing.

SMS Popup works great if you don't want to change from the default messaging app (for something like Handcent). The screen lights up when text first comes in, then reminds me every 2 minutes (you can change the frequency) until I either close it or reply.

You can also use Missed Call to do the same type of thing for missed call, texts, etc.

I installed SMS pop out and it works good, I can see the text and gives me an option to reply or ignore, so I don't have to actually unlock the phone to check for missed messages. I will try missed calls so it will alert me of any missed calls also, Thanks!!!

I was really missing the led light but I installed "NoLed" and it solves the problem nicely. Instead of an led light it simply puts a little icon on the dark screen when you have a new email, sms, voicemail, missed call, etc.

K-9 mail has notifications as well. You change the color per account.
