notification light problem

The only time I get a notification light is when I am charging phone. Is there a simple fix for this? I've already done factory reset. Verizon phone by the way.

Notifications are only shown for 5 minutes on the m8. Check out LightFlow if you want to customize the notifications more.

that's crazy... It's a badass phone but how did the testers miss that?

it's the weak point of the device imo
i find light flow app gets the best out of it... needs root though
