Help Notification light randomness

[landovr]

I've noticed that when i recieve a message when the screen is off the notification light blinks randomly with no real pattern, it just blinks when it feels like blinking. But when the screen is on the light blinks in a constant pattern. I was just wondering if everyones phone does this or is mine just screwy?

Interesting, I haven't applied myself -but also have noticed a lack of consistency with that light. (android version 2.2)
