Notification Light

Finally took the plunge on the Desire HD from my iPhone 3GS the other and am very happy so far.

Question I have is this. Is there anyway or any app that allows you to change the notification light colours and flashing. The Orange when charging is nice and bright, and same with when the battery is low and red, but Green for messages etc is really hard to see when at work in a bright office. And it only seems to flash for a few minutes and then goes off so if i dont spot it early i may not notice at all until i unlock the screen.

Is there any way this can be changed ie the colour or stop it going off?

Also when listening to music, the only area where this phone falls down, and cannot hold a candle to the iphone or ipods (yes i know thats what theyre designed solely for). Just pretty disappointed at always having to go through menu after menu when want a song. Is there anyway to change so that the message tone or other alerts do not cut out the music and simply play over the top or is this something that i will just have to get used to.

What music players do people use? Ive used stock and winamp so far and not been that impressed.

download NoLED from the market. it pops up on screen when you get-
message
voice mail
missed call
email
g-talk

you can choose the size of the box that pops up and set different colours for each notification/image that pops up.

check it out.

Winamp rocks i love it use it on my pc too but try mortplayer

i don't think android allows message tones to be played over music.

I would rather use the notification light than an on-screen pop-up. From what ive read NoLed kills the battery in no time aswell.

Surely there must be a way to change the notification light settings.

Winamp on PC is ok, but poor on android. Always having to either create a playlist or go through lots of menus from the start each time to select a track. Stock player is even worse. Will give mortplayer a shot, see how it stacks up. May have to just go back to using my ipod touch for music.

I'm not convinced it kills the bat you can only get it to notify you for one of the instances if you want just messages for example even say how long u want to be notified for too.

Use the search option in winamp should save time. I personally hate the way ipods lay music out but that's just me.
