Help Notification Light

Is the light supposed to go off after a period of time? I've noticed that I'll be alerted that I've received texts and the light will blink, but if I don't check them within a 10 minute period or so, the light stops completely. Is that just how it goes or is there a setting I need to adjust for it to always blink until I read them?

That's just how it is. I haven't found any app yet that will make it blink longer. I think it was something like five minutes on my Incredible, and it's about the same on my T-Bolt. If someone DOES know of a trick to keep it on, I'd love to hear it.
