Help Notification Light

Has anyone had a problem with the green notification light randomly blinking? Mine will start to blink like I have a new message but there is nothing there. I have even turned off all the notification options inn the settings menu for the led light but it still will flash randomly? Anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have turned off the LED settings for email, but the LED still flashes when i get an email. maybe it's a gmail thing?

However, I don't have random LED notification; they are all associated with a sms/email/phone call/etc.

Certain apps do it.
Probably an ICS issue.
