Notification light

I just bought the Verizon moto g and was wondering if there is a way to change the notification light color. I use hand cent and there is a menu for it but I can't get it to work. Any help is appreciated. Btw the phone is stock unrooted

There are numerous threads on this issue but the answer is that the Moto G only has a white notification light and cannot show any other colours i'm afraid.
