Notification lights?

my wife is considering switching to this phone. Does have a notification LED light on the front for messages and missed calls?

Yes, it does. It surrounds the physical home button. You barely notice it until it lights up, and all of my friends think it's really cool looking. Some things are disabled by default i believe, so when you get it go to Settings-Display - and click on Home button LED, not the little on/off switch if you want to enable/disable some options. I have all options checked, even though I don't actually use all of the notifications. :D

It is customizable with different colors too. Its not just on or off either, it gradually comes on and off, kinda glowy. Its pretty cool looking, compared to a normal led or normal key backlight flashing.

I don't see the option to change the color of the light. Can you tell me where the option is? Thanks.

Settings > display > all the way at the bottom click 'home button led'.

Yeah, that allows me to turn on and off the LED and events, etc. But how do you configure the color of the LED to specific events? Like to purple in the pic above.

You can't configure any colors, as far as I know. I know that Facebook notifications turn up as blue, like the picture, but only with the screen off.

My mistake again, lulz. I know play store apps have been mentioned for the f7, but not sure if they work correctly.

Many third-party apps let you customize the color of their notifications, and sometimes the specifics of the blink pattern too.
