I will keep this short and sweet. Basically Im on my 4th captivate. I just got this one in the mail yesterday and I am satisfied with it except for one thing, the notification ringtone. No matter which one I choose, (i like the tweeters) when I get a text message, it plays the "cloud" sound. Please help!!!

I realized today that I have that same problem, too. I just got a new phone a few days ago. The notification noise I choose works on voicemail notifications but nothing else so far.

Lewis, I found a fix for me. If you go to the main screen of your messaging app, hit the far left button for the menu, then choose settings. Scroll down to the bottom into the notification settings. You can select your notification ringtone there. That worked for me. Hope that helps.
