Issue:
I have a 3rd party ring tone which goes off whenever a text message or an email is recieved via the notifications bar.
For no apparant reason it now only works when I receive text messages or Gmail. A different sound is produced when I recieve Yahoo mail.
I have deleted & reinstalled the yahoo mail app but it didnt make any difference.
The default sound is set via settings/sound/notifications sound. My chosen sound is displayed in the menu & is marked but it still doesnt play on receipt of yahoo mail. The only option I can find on the Yahoo mail app is the option to turn notification on or off. Unlike the Gmail app, there is no option to chose the sound, you have to go with the default sound which it isnt playing.
A minor niggle I know but any help would be appreciated.
