Guessing you've already gone into Messaging>Settings>Notification Settings and put a check in the box for Notifications?

Messaging -> Settings -> Notifications Section
Is it checked?
Does the ringtone selected make a sound here when you're scrolling through the choice list?
If vibrate is checked, do you get vibrations when you get messages?

All is checked correctly, and sound is made. When I send to myself it works, but nothing else. I find the messaging app works best to receive mms on wifi, while others not reliable on wifi for mms. If any one has a suggestion for alternate texting app I'll try it. Thanks
