Help notification sounds changing randomly

Since the ICS update...

I noticed for sure that it happened when I plugged in my fone to the puter. I had to go in and switch back all my notifications, and to top it off, many of my uploaded ones disappeared for about 5 minutes after unplugging from the puter.

This stuff is getting so old. Can't we just have afone that works right?

This is kinda expected, depending on where your sounds reside... when you plug into the computer the phone unmounts the internal storage and the sd card so that the computer can access them, but during this time the phone cannot access those files... then when you disconnect the computer it remounts those locations and does a media scan before they are accessible to apps in the phone, if you don't have much stuff to scan it is fairly quick, but if you have a lot of stuff it can take a few minutes.

I've had this happen, myself - not having anything to do with connecting to the computer. It's happened 2-3 times since ICS.
